While Gehman & Co. is a new venture for Lee and Ann Gehman, they are hardly strangers to the furniture and interior decorating businesses. In 1969, Lee helped his parents open Gehman's Furniture & Interiors in Mount Joy, PA. Eventually, he left his position as a programmer/analyst for Sperry New Holland to join the family business full time.

In 1976, Lee and Ann opened their own decorating business under the name Holly Tree Farm Interiors. During the 1980's, Holly Tree Farm operated out of an historic stone farm near Middletown, PA. They raised their two sons, Hans and Seth, in the restored farmhouse while working from their rustic showroom, converted from the barn a few hundred feet away.

As the business grew, Mr. and Mrs. Gehman wanted to dedicate more time to their children, so they sold the farm in 1988, and once again offered "by appointment only" decorating services from their home. During this time, they continued to work with select clients who still appreciated the personal touch they put into their work.

Now, as "empty nesters" not yet ready to retire, Lee and Ann decided to open Gehman & Co. They now offer high-quality and high-fashion products in addition to the personal service that has become a hallmark of the Gehman name.
